If you think you can, we'd love to hear from you!  The Brass Band Archive will always welcome offers of support, donations and assistance, however big or small.

Time
With the endless work involved with cataloguing all the music, recordings and memorabilia, Walter and Alan are delighted if offers of help are received.  There are always a host of jobs to complete and the more 'hands to the pump' that are working together ensure the projects are completed sooner.

Memorabilia
The Brass Band Archive would be very excited to learn if you have any contributions to add to their collections.  For some ideas, the current collections include:

Photographs
Contest and concert programmes
Trophies of significant brass band contests
Recordings - both old and new brass band recordings
Sheet music - especially historical works and manuscripts from the 'landmark' brass band writers.
Newspaper and magazine articles
Concert and contest advertisements
Publicity posters
Certificates
Contracts
Personal letters from significant conductors
Music stand banners
Historical instruments

Running Costs
Whilst Walter and Alan offer their time from the goodness of their hearts and Brian Halliwell has given unquestionable generosity with the provision of  the office, showroom and workshop, there are still inevitable running costs that cannot be avoided.

The Brass Band Archive are extremely grateful to Lancashire Contests and The British Federation of Brass Bands who have provided great financial assistance with stationery, equipment and shelving.  But, inevitably, there are always many ongoing expenses that need to be covered.

If you think you could offer any financial contributions to help this not-for-profit organisation to continue its important role in the banding world, please contact The Brass Band Archive to discuss the options.

Our Wishlist
The ever growing collection that makes up The Brass Band Archive has inevitable gaps in its series of programmes and test pieces.  The Music Library List is now available to view online or download (under the 'Music Library List' section) and where appropriate, notes have been made to indicate where sets of music are missing particular parts.  If you or your band are able to supply these missing parts, you will be helping towards making the Brass Band Archive records the most comprehensive historical records available in the world! So please take some time to enjoy a feast of pieces which may well inspire your next concert programme, and if you think you can help with any missing parts, please get in touch as soon as possible.

There will also be a Wishlist added here for other items which the BBA wish to actively source.  In the meantime, if you think you may have something that would be of interest, please contact us as soon as possible.
